American Idol Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood is going to the Super Bowl 44 to sing the National Anthem!

Four-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood is among many great performers who have been honored with singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl 44 live in Miami, FL, Sunday February 7, 2010 when the Indianapolis Colts battle the New Orleans Saints for the championship. The performance will be televised live prior to kickoff. Carrie Underwood performance at the Super Bowl 44 will be the third that Anthem singer is an American Idol alumni! Jennifer Hudson performed the anthem last year and in 2008, Jordin Sparks, did the honors.

Queen Latifah is set to sing “America the Beautiful” and British rock band, The Who 2010 Super Bowl 44 performance will provide halftime entertainment and will be aired on CBS.
