Almost seven months have passed since the world was mesmerized by either Lambert-mania or Allen fever. In that time, several of the top contestants have released their own albums. Starting Tuesday, the drama begins again as the much-anticipated season 9 will debut with a two-night premiere. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Jonas, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, and Shania Twain who will help select the hopefuls worthy of the “Golden Ticket” to Hollywood. New American Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres take her permanent seat on the judges panel alongside Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi during this year’s Hollywood Round.
