The excitement continues in this week’s American Idol Hollywood Round, Part 1 & 2 as new Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres gets ready to debut as American Idol judge, which will air on Feb. 9, Feb. 10. American Idol Hollywood Round took place a couple of weeks ago and is divided into four parts.

Is everyone excited to watch American Idol Hollywood Round Part 1 & 2 this week? I’m sure everyone is. Ellen DeGeneres makes her much-anticipated debut on “American Idol” and joins Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson in Hollywood to begin winnowing down the contestants. The Hollywood round begins as the golden-ticket winners struggle through punishing rehearsals and must perform for Simon, Ellen, Kara and Randy in hopes of securing a spot in the Top 24.

The Wednesday, Feb. 17 episode will feature the unveiling of a Top 24 semifinalist, consisting of 12 guys and 12 girls, returning to the familiar structure after last season’s Top 36 format. Audience will then be able to vote starting February 23, 2010 when the girls perform live for the first time.
